Let me breakdown how I choose my shows and why I chose Justified:

| How hype is this show? Underrated: +30 points! 
.. I’m sooo obnoxious when it comes to tv shows. I don’t like watching mainstream shows (but in my defense, it’s because they’re usually not even that great and just overhyped). I do like having my hidden gem shows to myself though

| How many seasons has it been? 3 seasons: +20 points!
.. I rarely  watch shows when they’re in their first season because I like to see some legit reviews of how the series is. And you also get to see what kind of awards they were nominated for.
.. 3 seasons means there’s credibility to Justified’s awesomeness.
.. and 3 seasons means I don’t have too much to catch up on (seasons are 13 eps)

| TV network? FX : +30 points!
.. HBO and FX are usually amazing. I like FX because the network has integrity. They have good shows and have really loyal fans. They don’t do it only for the ratings and they make their shows well.
.. NBC’s comedies are usually great
.. ABC’s dramas are usually great
.. FOX is always a toss-up

| What is it? a 40-min crime drama: +30 points!
.. but it’s not like other crime shows! It’s not your typical CSI show
.. I’ve never seen a show about a deputy marshal before, so I thought that would be cool

| How was the pilot? Amazing! Someone gets killed in the first minute: +10 points!

| Plot: +50 points!
.. Creative plot. Smart smart smart but not far-fetched
.. Good pacing of the arc

| Hot actors? Yes!: +55 points!
.. Timothy Olyphant is the most gorgeous man EVER (even hotter than Hugh Jackman)
.. The only reason I even knew about this show initially was because of Timothy Olyphant 

| Good acting? Some of the best I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen a lot!): +40 points!

| Characters: +40 points
.. Creative and complex.. all of them. 

| Dialogue: +10 points!

| Relationships: -30 points
.. I’m not a fan of the women the main guy, Raylan, is picking.  You are so smart yet so dumb when it comes to women

* Bonus points!
| Guns: +5 points
| Accents: +5 points-  I think I have a thing for shows set in the South. 

Total points: .. high

I love shows that are pushing the boundaries of tv (e.g. Community, Lost, Friday Night Lights) and aren’t doing it for quick success, cheap laughs and ratings. That’s why I love my shows. 

Oh my… after writing this post, I feel like I need to get out more!

{Love yourself}

I don’t think we love ourselves enough. So here’s a simple exercise. Name 5 fantabulous qualities you admire about yourself. And for a little fun, you have to add a “dayummmn” in front of each quality like so
